On February 19th, we were not able to make any landings due to high winds, but we sure got a spectacular sunset that evening!  And one advantage to being so far south in February?  The sunsets last for *hours*.

In preparation for our lifeboat drill, I tried to follow the directions from my cabin, and ended up in front of this sign...  Since all the directions were in the Russian alphabet of Cyrillic though, I realized that I would definitely need help launching the lifeboat in case of emergency!

After visiting a penguin colony, as we did on Cuverville Island, we were required to hose off our boots before entering the ship's "Mud Room" where we changed into other shoes which we used while in the rest of the ship.
